EPFL suggests the appointment of an independent body "to govern FIFA for a transitionary period"

"The EPFL believes in the right course of justice and in the presumption of innocence of those under investigation. However, in the interim work must be undertaken to set FIFA back on the right track. Perhaps this can only be achieved by the appointment of an independent, specialised and credible body to govern FIFA for a transitionary period," said the union of European Professional Football Leagues on 09/10/2015.

Joseph Blatter, FIFA president, and Michel Platini, UEFA president and vice-president of FIFA, have been suspended for a period of 90 days from any activity in football at national and international level by the judiciary chamber the FIFA Ethics Committee, on 08/10/2015. The same day, Jerome Valcke (already on leave), the FIFA secretary general, was also suspended for the same period of 90 days.
