Premier League club Arsenal have agreed a £170m (€200m) kit deal with Puma for the next five years. The Gunners will receive £30m (€35m) per year from Puma, who will design the kit from 2014-15 onwards. The deal will be the most lucrative in English football.

Puma will replace Nike, who have supplied Arsenal's kit since 1994. Arsenal's current deal with Nike is worth £55m (€65m) over seven years, but is set to expire at the end of next season.

This deal represents a major coup for Arsène Wenger, as he bids to end the team's eight-year period without a trophy.

Arsenal's decision not to renew with Nike is a major blow for the sports manufacturer, who could also lose Manchester United after next season. Warrior, who are set to supply Liverpool's kit this season, are believed to be eager to capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding Nike's 11-year association with United.
