FIFA: acting president Issa Hayatou in Zurich for the Executive Committee meeting on 20/10/2015

Issa Hayatou, the acting president of FIFA since 08/10/2015, arrived at FIFA headquarters in Zurich (SUI), announced the international federation on 15/10/2015. The Cameroonian will lead the emergency meeting of the FIFA Executive Committee scheduled in Zurich on 20/10/2015 (from 09:00 CET).

This meeting has been organised following the 90 day suspension of Joseph Blatter, the FIFA president, levied by the adjudicatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee on 08/10/2015.

"It’s certainly an unprecedented situation for FIFA. But we remain focused on the necessary reform process, the Presidential election and on supporting the current investigations. To restore public trust is a crucial objective. It is essential that FIFA carries on its mission of developing the game and staging international tournaments," said Issa Hayatou, the acting president of FIFA and also president of CAF, on 15/10/2015.
