MP & Silva: the agency wants to sell 40% of its shares for $1bn, according to director Marco Auletta

MP & Silva is looking to sell 40% of its capital for a minimum of $1bn (€880m as of 16/10/2015), said Marco Auletta, the executive director of the British media rights agency, to the economic newspaper the Financial Times on 11/10/2015.

“We have had a lot of interest in the past from investment funds. But until now we have not been interested. Now funds are saying to me they are impressed with what we have done and they believe we can keep going with their support," said Marco Auletta.

Andrea Radrizzani, the co-founder and one of the main shareholders of MP & Silva, sold part of his shares to Riccardo Silva, the other co-founder and major shareholder of the agency, on 04/08/2015. The exact amount of the MP & Silva capital sold by Andrea Radrizzani to Riccardo Silva was not disclosed, but the latter, co-president of the agency founded in 2004, is now the majority shareholder.
