The airline Etihad could replace the tyre brand Pirelli as the main shirt sponsor of FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM), according to the Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport on 18/10/2015.

Pirelli has been the club's main shirt sponsor since the 1995-96 season. The contract, valued at €12.9m per year, expires at the end of the 2015-16 season. The Emirati airline company would be willing to pay €25m per season for five years (2016-17 to 2020-21) to have their logo displayed on the Inter shirt. Pirelli, who hopes to maintain its partnership with the club, does not want to commit to an amount this high according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, especially since rival club AC Milan extended their agreement with the Emirates airline for €17m per year (until 2019-20) in December 2014. Inter generated €36.2m in commercial revenue during the 2013-14 season.
