12 English players participated in the first two Matchdays of the 2015-16 Champions League group stage, ranking England 15th in the list of nationalities represented in the Champions League since this season's competition began, according to the British daily The Telegraph, on 19/10/2015.

These 12 players are all part of the squads of the four Premier League clubs involved in the competition: Manchester United FC (5), Arsenal FC (3), Manchester City FC (2) and Chelsea FC (2). No English player has featured in a Champions League match for a foreign club in 2015-16.

As of 20/10/2015, Spain is the best represented country in the Champions League in 2015-16 with 59 players. According to figures released by The Telegraph, Spain are ranked ahead of Brazil (53 players) and France (42 players).

  • The sixteen fixtures on Matchday 3 of the 2015-16 Champions League group stage are scheduled to take place on 20 and 21/10/2015.
  • England finished in first place in Group E of Euro 2016 qualifying with 30 points (10 wins, 0 draw, 0 losses).
