Brazil: Kappa will replace Nike as the official equipment supplier of Santos FC (2016-2018)

The Italian brand Kappa will replace Nike as the official equipment supplier of Santos FC (Chevrolet Brasileirão Série A) for three seasons (2016-2018), according to Brazilian media on 15/10/2015.

The former team of Pelé and Neymar will wear Kappa kits from February 2016. The contract is valued at 1.5 million reali (€340,000) per season. The club will also receive a variable amount depending on the number of co-branded products sold each season. The club would like to include the launch of an exclusive "Kappa-Pelé" line in the partnership, however they must first acquire the rights of the former Brazilian international to make the project possible. The company SPR, which is partnered with Kappa in Brazil, will distribute the products of the official Santos FC 2016 collection. The only other club that are equipped with Kappa kits for 2015 Brazilian Serie A season is Goias EC.
