Borussia Dortmund and Turkish Airlines unite for three years

On the 25/04/13, Turkish Airlines announced that they are set to sign a partnership agreement with German football club Borussia Dortmund.

Turkish Airlines will be Dortmund's official airline for an annual figure of €10m, according to German newspaper Bild.

The airline, who already have partnership agreements with Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona) and U.S. basketball player Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers), have decided however not to renew their deals with Manchester United and FC Barcelona.

In 2012, Turkish Airlines recorded a 20% increase in passengers, with 39m customers. According to the AFP, in 2013 they hope to reach 46, with a projected turnover of $9.7bn.

Second in the Bundesliga, twenty points behind Bayern Munich with four games remaining, Borussia Dortmund face Real Madrid on 30/04/2013 in the Champions League semi-final after winning 4-1 at home in the first leg on the 24/04/2013.
