Spain: Mediapro partners with YouTube to broadcast beIN Sports channels via the streaming platform

The pay-TV channel beIN Sports is now available in Spain to live stream on YouTube, the video sharing and video streaming platform, since 22/10/2015 (a Champions League matchday). This follows an agreement, the terms of which were not disclosed, between YouTube and the media groups Mediapro and beIN Media Group, the co-shareholders of beIN Sports España.

For €9.99 per month, users who have an Internet connection and a connected TV, tablet, smartphone or computer, can watch the beIN Sports Live package, which includes all Champions League and Europa League matches. On European nights, YouTube users will be able to watch several matches simultaneously, across several windows of their Internet browser.

YouTube will offer premium content on the platform, including live broadcasts of the NBA or MLB in some countries. This partnership with a sports TV channel for pay-TV broadcasting via a live stream is the first of its kind, according to our information.
