FIFA: Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (Bahrain) submits documents to stand for president

Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa (Bahrain), the president of the AFC and a FIFA vice-president of FIFA, will stand for the election to the presidency of the international federation, according to the state-run Bahrain News Agency, on 26/10/2015, the deadline for candidate applications.

Sheikh Salman reportedly submitted his documents to the FIFA headquarters in Zurich (SUI), on Sunday evening 25/10/2015. He is the tenth (see list below) to state his ambition to become the ninth president of FIFA, with elections scheduled for 26/02/2016.
