FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) will open a football school in China, the FCBEscola Qingdao Huanghai, in collaboration with Huanghai Pharmaceuticals, the Chinese pharmaceutical company that owns the naming rights to the institution, in the city of Qingdao (9 million people), announced the club on 23/10/2015.

The project will proceed in two phases: first the handing over of facilities currently occupied by two different schools and then the construction of the training center by Huanghai Pharmaceutical. This is the sixth FCBEscola centre in China after those opened in Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Chengdu. The club says that more than 30,000 children are involved in FCBEscola training schemes worldwide.

"This project will allow us to transmit the values of our club to Chinese fans and collaborate in the development of football in the country. The FCBEscola project has grown a lot in recent years and we want to give it more momentum in order to expand the model around the world," said Jordi Cardoner, vice-president of FC Barcelona, on 23/10/2015.

Barcelona have 75 FCBEscola centres…
