FIFA: Zico and Michel Zen Ruffinen do not file, thus eight candidates have submitted documents

The former Brazilian international Zico and the former secretary general of FIFA, Michel Zen Ruffinen of Switzerland ultimately not file their candidacy for the presidency of the international federation before the deadline of 26/10/2015, or four months ahead of the scheduled elections on 26//02/2016.

Eight candidates have submitted their candidacy documents:

• Michel Platini, 60 years old (FRA, UEFA president), suspended since 08/10/2015
• Ali Bin Al Hussein, 39 years old (JOR, former vice-president of FIFA)
• David Nakhid, 51 years old (TRI, former Trinidadian international)
• Jérôme Champagne, 57 years old (FRA, former deputy secretary general of FIFA)
• Musa Bility, 48 years old (LBR, president of the Liberian Federation)
• Tokyo Sexwale, 62 years old (RSA, head of the FIFA Monitoring Committee for Israel and Palestine)
• Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, 49 years old (BHR, AFC president)
• Gianni Infantino 45 years old (ITA-SUI, UEFA general secretary)
