Denmark: Discovery concludes sublicence deal with MTG for Premier League, La Liga and Serie A rights

The broadcaster Discovery Networks Denmark has acquired, via sublicence from its Swedish counterpart MTG (Modern Times Group), the broadcasting rights in Denmark to the Barclays Premier League (2016-2019), Liga BBVA and the Serie A TIM (2015-2018), on 29/10/2015.

The acquired rights are exclusive to the point of 50% with respect of television, while they are complete and non-exclusive for digital streaming platforms: half of the Premier League, Liga BBVA and Serie A TIM matches will be broadcast exclusively on the pay-TV channel 6'eren (the other half on the pay channels of MTG), while all the matches of the three championships will be available on pay streaming platforms of Discovery Networks Denmark (Dplay and Eurosport Player) and MTG (Viaplay).

MTG and Discovery Networks Denmark have previously set up similar sublicence agreements in Denmark for the Premier League (since 2010) and the Liga BBVA (since 2012).
