beIN Media Group launches beIN Movies in the Middle East and North Africa

The Qatari pay-TV group beIN Media Group has launched the "beIN Movies" channels in 24 countries in the MENA region, on 31/10/2015. The full HD channels show movies, television series, documentaries and entertainment programmes. The channels are available for free until 31/12/2015, and will be offered in a package with the beIN Sports channels (for $30 / €27 per month) or separately ($25 / €22.7 per month).

"We identified a sweet-spot in terms of pricing of pay-TV in the region (Middle East and North Africa), that has traditionally been over-priced. Hence it was natural that beIN offers the latest blockbuster movies and great family entertainment (...) along with our premium sports offering. beIN’s vision is to reshape the future of pay-TV and family entertainment in MENA through offering premium multi-genre entertainment at affordable prices," said Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the CEO of beIN Media Group.
