Twitter: the rankings of clubs in the European Top 5 as of 01/11/2015

Manchester United FC (Premier League) and Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA) recorded the highest growth in Twitter followers of European, clubs, with each club gaining 200,000 followers in the past month, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/11/2015. This increase allowed Manchester United (6.3 million followers) to get closer to Arsenal FC (6.48 million followers) at the top of the English league on the social network and micro-blogging platform.

The top 20 European clubs' combined Twitter accounts (all languages) total more than 90 million followers. With 31 million followers across all of their accounts, FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) alone comprise a third of the followers out of these Top 20 clubs.
