France: Nice fans banned in Marseille, "A lack of respect for our supporters" (J-Pierre Rivère)

"It shows a lack of respect for our supporters. Out of seven away matches this season, this is already the fourth time. For these repeated sanctions, measures are taken that are literally copied and pasted so we find our selves in a situation, as has happened recently, where Nice supporters have been banned from a match between SC Bastia - Paris SG! They don't even think about solutions anymore, they are just happy to hand out sanctions systematically and blindly," said Jean-Pierre Rivère, president of OGC Nice (Ligue 1), on 02/11/2015.

A prefectural order prohibited supporters of OGC Nice from travelling to their match against Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1, Matchday 12) at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday 08/11/2015 (kick-off at 17:00 CET). The Nice supporters had previously been banned from travelling to three Ligue 1 away matches since the start of the 2015-16 season, against SC Bastia (1-3, Matchday 6), AS Saint-Étienne (1-4, Matchday 8) and GFC Ajaccio (3-1, Matchday 11).
