Switzerland: Gian Gilli, becomes CEO of InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland

The Swiss Gian Gilli (57 years old) was appointed CEO of InfrontRingier Sports & Entertainment Switzerland, a joint venture between Infront Sports & Media and the Swiss media group Ringier, on 02/11/2015.

He will officially take office on 16/11/2015, and will assume the position until the end of the first half 2018. According to Infront, 20% of his time will be dedicated to his current responsibilities as secretary general of the 2020 Ice Hockey World Championships. On 01/07/2018, Gian Gilli will leave InfrontRingier in order to dedicate 100% of his time to the organisation of the competition in Switzerland.

Succeeding the former professional cyclist Armin Meier, who left the InfrontRingier on 09/09/2015, Gian Gilli is responsible for accelerating the growth of the agency, created in 2011. Assisted by Lukas Troxler, assistant general manager, he will work under the direction of Marc Walder, CEO of Ringier and chairman of InfrontRingier.
