Rugby: Turkish Airlines becomes a partner of the EPCR European competitions

Turkish Airlines has become an official partner of the rugby competitions organised by the EPCR: the European Rugby Champions Cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup until the end of the 2017-18 season, the European body announced on 04/11/2015.

"The fact that we are joining forces with a truly global brand is great news for European club rugby. (...) While this is the company's first rugby sponsorship, Turkish Airlines have been associated with top-class sport for many years and we are certain that they will be a factor in broadening the base of club rugby in Europe and bringing the game to new, enthusiastic fans," said Simon Halliday, president of the EPCR. The Turkish company has obtained the marketing rights of the two competitions and visibility on the LED advertising boards matches in the competitions.

The EPCR will announce a new partnership in Lyon (FRA) on 09/11/2015.

• The Grand Stade de Lyon (59,000 places) will host the finals of the European Rugby Cups (Champions Cup and Challenge Cup) in 2016.
• The matches will be played on Friday 13 and Saturday 14/05/2016.
