Premier League: Liverpool FC offer fans the chance to resell their season tickets in case of absence

Liverpool FC (Premier League) have set up a "Ticket Exchange" system for the 2015-16 season, allowing season ticket holders to resell their tickets for home matches if they are unable to attend.

This system allows an absent season ticket holder, to sell their ticket for the match on an online platform. If the absent fan successfully manages to find a buyer for the match, the season ticket holder receives a reduction -- of an amount set in advance by the club -- which will be discounted from fan's payment of their season ticket for the 2016-17 season. The amount deducted is decided in terms of the importance of the match concerned: higher discounts will be awarded for the most important matches.

If the season ticket holder does not manage to find a buyer for their ticket, they have to option of cancelling the sale in order to attend the match themselves. If the subscriber does not find buyer before the match, they will not receives a discount.
