Eredivisie: Philips extends contract as shirt sponsor of PSV Eindhoven until 2025-26

Philips, the Dutch technology company specialising in electronic lighting and health products, has extended its contract as the shirt sponsor of PSV Eindhoven (Eredivisie) until 2025-26, the club announced on 06/11/2015.

Philips will pay €3m per year during the first five years of the partnership and €1.5m for the following five years, amounting to a total of €22.5m over ten years. The Philips group, which established PSV (Philips Sport Vereniging, Philips Sports Union) in August 1913, has been present on the club's shirt since 1982. The group also owns the naming rights of the Philips Stadion (35,000 seats).

"Over the next few years this new agreement will enable PSV to show structural improvement in commercial terms. PSV has high sporting ambitions, and having partners who provide us with the latest technology to help us to constantly improve our performances is a very important factor," said Toon Gerbrands, general manager of PSV Eindhoven, on 06/11/2015.
