Euro 2016: adidas and Zidane unveil the "Beau Jeu" ball, the official ball of the group stage

The "Beau Jeu" (Beautiful Game), the official ball of the Euro 2016 group stage designed by the German sports equipment brand adidas, a partner of the competition, was unveiled by the former French international Zinedine Zidane via his Instagram account, on 12/11/2015.

The "Beau Jeu" ball will be officially presented by Zidane, Xavi Hernandez (ESP) and Per Mertesacker (GER, Arsenal FC) at the inauguration of the "Future Arena", a digital 5-a-side football arena created by adidas near the Stade de France which virtually reproduces the atmosphere of professional game with 50,000 spectators, on 14 and 15/11/2015.

The ball features the colours of France (blue, white and red) and also has shades of grey in reference to the trophy of the competition. The letters E-U-R-O as well as the figures 2-0-1-6 also appear on the design of the ball. This is the first time a Euro competition will use two separate balls, one for the 36 matches of the group stage, with the other for the 15 matches of the knockout phase -- that is to say, from the fourth round onwards.
