FIFA: Platini criticises the "surprising slowness" of the Appeal Committee and remains "determined"

"Michel Platini is surprised that the FIFA Appeal Committee, before which he was called several weeks ago due to the current suspension concerning him, has still not made a decision. This surprising slowness is totally contradictory to the urgency invoked by the FIFA Ethics Committee to justify the provisional suspension imposed on him," said Thibaud Alès, a lawyer for Michel Platini, on 12/11/2015.

Five candidates -- Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Jérôme Champagne, Gianni Infantino and Tokyo Sexwale -- have been officially declared eligible by the Ad-hoc Electoral Committee to run in the elections to appoint the next president of FIFA (in Zurich, on 26/02/2016), the international federation announced on 12/11/2015. The Ad-hoc Electoral Committee has approved five applications after analysing the integrity checks conducted by the investigatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee for each candidate.
