Italy: Serie B shows solidarity with France and the victims of the attacks in Paris on 13/11/2015

The singing of La Marseillaise as the teams lined up on the pitch, one minute silence and a French flag to be waved during the pre-match warmups were the items organised by the Lega Nazionale Professionisti B in Italy, for Matchday 13 of the championship (on 14 and 15/11/2015), after the terrorist attacks that killed 129 people and wounded over 350 in Paris and Saint-Denis (north of Paris), on 13/11/2015.

"We want to show France, which was so deeply and painfully wounded, a sincere testimony of our solidarity and our friendship, because we have to lift ourselves up and fight, with countries that embody the values of democracy, against all those who declare war on liberty by demonstrating an unacceptable disregard for the lives of others," said Andrea Abodi, president of the Lega Serie B, on 14/11/2015.
