Liga BBVA to introduce a new time slot in the broadcast schedule on Saturdays at 13:00, from 2016-17

A new time slot has appeared in the broadcast schedule, for Saturday at 13:00 CET, in the tender for the domestic audiovisual rights for the Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante, and Copa del Rey for the 2016-2019 cycle, published by LaLiga on 13/11/2015.

This replaces the time slot on Saturday at 22:05 CET, whilst other broadcast schedules have remained unchanged (see below). This change aims to maximise the exposure of the Liga BBVA internationally, particularly in Asia. Therefore, this new time slot will broadcast live the scheduled Liga BBVA match on Saturdays at 19:00 local time in Bangkok (Thailand), 20:00 in Beijing (China) or to 21:00 in Seoul (South Korea) and Tokyo (Japan).

LaLiga hope the 10 lots, which will be officially attributed to the winning bidders on 04/12/2015, will generate €900m per year, according to the Spanish media, on 13/11/2015.
