FIFA reject the appeals of Joseph Blatter and Michel Platini against their provisional suspensions

"The FIFA Appeal Committee, chaired by Larry Mussenden (Bermuda), has today rejected in full the appeals lodged by Joseph S. Blatter (SUI) and Michel Platini (FRA) and confirmed in their entirety the respective decisions (cf. art. 84 par. 2 of the FIFA Code of Ethics) concerning provisional measures taken by the adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee," announced FIFA on 18/11/2015.

Michel Platini and Joseph Blatter were both suspended for a period of 90 days from any activity in football at national and international level by the adjudicatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee on 08/10/2015. This suspension may be extended for a period not exceeding 45 days. The two leaders appealed their penalty before the FIFA Appeal Committee.

"According to article 67 of the FIFA Statutes, the decisions may be appealed before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)," said FIFA on 18/11/2015.
