The British office of audit and consultancy firm EY (Ernst & Young) published a document entitled "The economic impact of the Premier League" on 18/11/2015. The document was the subject of a presentation which took place on the same day in London (ENG), in the presence of Sajid Javid, the British secretary of state for commerce, innovation and skills, and Richard Scudamore, executive chairman the Premier League.

The report indicated that in 2013-14 the Premier League and its clubs have contributed both directly and indirectly to £6.2bn (€7.69bn as of 30/06/2014) of the value to British production, £3.4bn (€4.2bn) of UK GDP (approximately €2442bn in 2014) and £2.4bn (almost €3bn) in tax revenues for the UK Ministry of Finance. 103,354 FTE jobs are related directly and indirectly to the Premier League.

The document analysed the sources of revenue of Premier League clubs and their investments, and compared them with those of clubs in the Liga BBVA, Bundesliga, Serie A TIM and Ligue 1. With £3.3bn in cumulative revenue from clubs in 2013 -14, the Premier League is the third richest…
