England: second edition of the FA People's Cup, free and open and organised by the FA

The English Football Association has opened registrations for the 2016 FA People's Cup, a leisure football competition open to all, that the FA is organising in partnership with the British public broadcaster the BBC and many English five-a-side football centres, on 24/11/2015.

More than 30,000 male and female players took part, for free, in the first edition of the competition in 2015. The winners received their medals before the kick-off of the final of the 2014-15 FA Cup, Arsenal FC - Aston Villa FC (4-0) at Wembley Stadium on 30/05/2015. The 2016 FA People's Cup will take place in three phases:

• First round, locally, on 22, 23 and 24/01/2016.
• Regional semi-finals, on 27 and 28/02/2016.
• National final, on 30/03/2016.

The competition is divided into ten separate tournaments, each tournament with an age category of participants: Adult Male, Adult Female, U-16 Boys, U-16 Girls, U-14 Boys, U-14 Girls, Male Veterans, Female Veterans, "Walking Football" (Over 50s & mixed), and Disability.
