Agencies: Infront Sports & Media and World Triathlon Corporation merge to form Wanda Sports

Dalian Wanda Group, the Chinese conglomerate specialising particularly in the entertainment, hospitality and real estate sectors, have merged two properties, Infront Sports & Media and WTC (World Triathlon Corporation), into a new entity: Wanda Sports Holding Co., Ltd., on 25/11/2015.

The Swiss marketing and media rights agency and the American company which owns the "IRONMAN" brand and triathlon races organised by the same name will be renamed Wanda Sports, on a date which has not yet been disclosed. Philippe Blatter, Infront's CEO, becomes the CEO of Wanda Sports and the top management of the two agencies is maintained.

Wanda Sports is organised around three areas:
• Spectator Sports (media and marketing activities)
• Participation Sports ("active lifestyle" activities), directed by Andrew Messick, the CEO of WTC, from the company headquarters in Tampa (Florida, USA)
• Services (production, digital, hospitality, etc.)
