"I have one regret: I should have stopped after this great 2014 World Cup in Brazil. At that time, I should have had the courage to say. 'Blatter you are getting up in age, you did something good. Joseph Blatter was suspended for a period of 90 days from any activity in football by the adjudicatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee on 08/10/2015. The Swiss Federal Prosecutor has opened a criminal case against the president of FIFA, suspected of "unfair management and -- alternatively -- breach of trust", on 24/09/2015. Among the accusations against the Swiss leader include the "unfair payment of CHF 2m (about €1.54m at the time of payment in February 2011) to Michel Platini (FRA), the UEFA president, to the detriment of FIFA, allegedly for work performed between January 1999 and June 2002.
