Manchester City: after consulting with fans, the club will change its badge in the coming weeks

Manchester City FC (Barclays Premier League) will introduce a new club badge "in the coming weeks", the club announced on 24/11/2015.

The English club had launched a consultation with its fans, on 16/10/2015, to determine whether to change its current badge, in use since 1997. Thousands of fans participated in the online questionnaire proposed by Manchester City FC and/or have visited an area dedicated to the presentation of the badge throughout of the club's history, at the Etihad Stadium (47,800 seats).

"Having analysed all responses received, the club can confirm that there is an overwhelming desire amongst Cityzens for the badge to evolve and that a round design, as used in two of the Club’s three previous crests, is by far the most popular shape and remained so throughout the consultation process," stated Manchester City on 24/11/2015.
