Bundesliga: American tyre brand Goodyear becomes a "Platinum Partner" of FC Bayern Munich

The American tyre brand Goodyear has become a "Platinum Partner" of FC Bayern München (Bundesliga), announced the club on 25/11/2015. The agreement will officially begin on 01/01/2016.

The multi-year contract may exceed €1m per year, according to German media outlets. This includes LED board visibility during matches at the Allianz Arena, image rights to the club and the players, and the ability to set up activations in collaboration with FC Bayern Munich. Goodyear is also a partner of Juventus (Serie A TIM) until the end of the 2016-17 season.

Bayern Munich has extended its principal agreements in recent months, such as with its shirt sponsor partner, Deutsche Telekom (estimated at €30m per year) until 2022-23, with its kit supplier adidas (valued at €60m per year) until 2030, and also with its automobile partner Audi (Volkswagen group, until 2024-25). The club sponsorship revenues should increase sharply. Bayern had achieved €117.7m in sales during the business partnerships 2013-14 season.
