South America: exclusive rights to Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana for Fox Sports until 2018

The US broadcaster FIC (Fox International Channels) has acquired the exclusive audiovisual rights for the 2016-2018 editions of the Copa Libertadores, the Copa Sudamericana and Recopa Sudamericana, said CONMEBOL on 25/11/2015.

The agreement also covers the Libertadores U20, women's football, futsal and beach soccer, all until 2018. The pay channels of Fox Sports Latin America will broadcast the competitions in countries of South America (no data regarding Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, where Fox Sports Latin America is distributed, nor for Brazil). FIC will also distribute the media rights to these competitions internationally.

The amount of the agreement is higher than in the previous cycle, indicated CONMEBOL.
