Spain: EA Sports retains the official licence to LaLiga until 2019-20

The video game publisher EA Sports has retained the official licence to LaLiga until the end of the 2019-20 season, announced the Spanish League on 26/11/2015.

The company, based in Vancouver (Canada), retains the exclusive licence to the Liga BBVA and the Liga Adelante. The video game maker will have access to the logos, sponsors, and all official branding of all clubs in the Spanish top two divisions. EA Sports holds the licence to FIFA and many major football leagues, such as the Barclays Premier League, the Serie A TIM, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and the MLS. "It (this extension) is a great support for our expansion strategy having this partnership with a leader company that gathers millions of users in each of the major geographic areas around the world. This is an agreement that goes beyond the videogame and it will allow us to create synergies at global level," stated LaLiga.
