Bayern Munich: club association has 270,329 members (+7.6%) and €11.5m in revenues (+27%) in 2015

FC Bayern München eV, the association of the club, has 270,329 members at the start of the 2015-16 season, 7.6% more than at the end of the 2014-15 season (251,315), indicated FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) at its annual general meeting on 27/11/2015. Bayern claims to be the football club with the highest number of "socios" or association members.

"Last year, I proudly informed you last year that we were now the biggest sports club in the world. We still are," said Karl Hopfner, president of FC Bayern Munich association. FC Bayern München eV generated revenues of €11.5m during the 2015 financial year (01/07/2014 - 30/06/2015), 27% higher than one year earlier. 58.7% of these revenues (€6.75m) consisted of dividends paid by the corporation FC Bayern München AG, of which the association owns 75% of the share capital and voting rights.

• The reserves of the association amounted to €81.7m on 30/06/2015.
