The Portoguese audiovisual group NOS Lusomundo Audiovisuais, a subsidiary of the NOS telecommunications group, has acquired audiovisual rights to the home matches of SL Benfica, in the Liga NOS, on 02/12/2015. The contract covers the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons, and amounts to €400m over the three years, or €133m on average per season.

The agreement also includes broadcast and exclusive distribution, in Portugal and abroad, of the pay-TV channel Benfica TV, launched by the Lisbon club on 10/12/2008. This channel is only available in the form of a premium membership since 01/07/2013. Benfica TV broadcasts, since the start of the 2013-14 season, in Portugal and abroad, the home games of SL Benfica and, also, the Barclays Premier League in Portugal, until the end of season 2015-16.

The contract between Benfica and NOS may be extended to the end of the 2025-26 season, for a period of 10 seasons in total. Further information on the agreement will be communicated at a press conference organised by the club and the telecommunications group on 10/12/2015.
