Premier League: Perform acquires 2016-19 TV rights in 5 countries including Germany and Switzerland

The British company Perform Group, specialising in the production and distribution of sports content on digital platforms, has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights, for the 2016-2019 period, to the Barclays Premier League in Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein, on 03/12/2015.

The agreement also allows Perform Group to broadcast matches of the English Premier League, live and on demand, in Switzerland and Luxembourg, on a non-exclusive basis. In the five countries, Perform Group also owns the rights to broadcast clips of Premier League matches.

The rights are valid for all distribution platforms (TV, Internet, mobile and tablets). The Sky Deutschland group broadcast the Premier League in Germany and Austria during the 2013-2016 cycle.

• In Germany, Perform Group broadcasts include Ligue 1 and the Serie A TIM, for free, on the Spox.com and Goal.com websites (German edition), in 2015-16.
