Platini: the UEFA memo is "great news for those who believe in justice" (J-M Aulas, O. Lyonnais)

The UEFA memo mentioning the role and remuneration of Michel Platini as an advisor to Joseph Blatter, the president of FIFA, is "great news, not just for Michel, but for all those who believe in justice," stated Jean-Michel Aulas, the president of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1) and member of the FIFA Strategic Committee, on 07/12/2015.

"We hear about a salary of one million Swiss francs," reads a memo written a board meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, dated 12/11/1998, a document which appears to indicate the role of Michel Platini at FIFA, five months after the election of Joseph Blatter of the international federation, and reported by the French newspaper Journal du Dimanche on 06/12/2015.

"Obviously, there is justification (of the payment) and that does not surprise me. Because the entire time, I have never thought that something (illegal) had happened. I am pleased that these documents were found and I am convinced that things will change and we will have the chance to see him (Platini) for the draw for the Euro 2016 in Paris (on 12/12/2015 at the Palais des Congrès))," added…
