The Premier League has awarded the broadcasting rights to the English Premier League for the 2016-2019 cycle to the pay-TV groups Sky Italia (Italy), Sport TV (Portugal), Ziggo Sports (Netherlands) and nc+ (Poland), on 04/12/2015. No financial details were disclosed for any of these agreements.

In Portugal, Sport TV has regained the rights to broadcast the Barclays Premier League after the pay-TV channel Benfica TV had acquired and distributed the rights during the 2013-2016 cycle.

In the Netherlands, a selection of Premier League matches will be broadcast on the channel Ziggo Sport (available for free to the 4.2 million TV subscribers of the cable operator and telecommunications group Ziggo), while all the matches will be available on the pay-TV channel Ziggo Sport Totaal. Ziggo will replace the pay-TV group Fox Sports as the owner of these rights.
