Matchday 16 of the 2015-16 Ligue 1 season -- which took place midweek from 01 to 03/12/2015 -- drew the lowest attendance of the season, with an average of 14,811 spectators per match, whilst the weekend Matchday 17 drew an average of 21,312 people from 04 to 06/12/2015. The average attendance of the championship is currently at 20,320 spectators per match, or 2,017 less than at the end of the 2014-15 season (-10%). The Ligue 1 stadium fill rate is 67% in 2015-16.

The match between Olympique de Marseille - Montpellier Hérault SC (2-2) drew the largest crowd of the weekend, with 41,486 spectators. The match between GFC Ajaccio - FC Nantes (1-1) drew the lowest attendance with 3,614 fans at the Stade Ange Casanova (4,229 seats) in Corsica.
