FC Barcelona: Copa del Rey match draws 67,703 spectators with seats being vacated by socios

67,703 spectators attended the match between FC Barcelona - CF Villanovense (Segunda B - Spanish third division), won 6-1 by Barça in the second leg of the Copa del Rey Round of 16, at which FC Barcelona celebrated the fifth edition of the Día del Socio Solidario (United Socios Day), on 02/12/2015.

Founded in 2011, the Día del Socio Solidario is traditionally held on FC Barcelona's first Copa del Rey matchday of the season. On the day, Barça socios are invited to give up their tickets to allow the club to offer them to organisations with whom they work. During the 2015 edition, 200 collaborating organisations were able to distribute tickets to 1,500 "groups of beneficiaries".

"The socios who gave up their places for this match helped to prove once again that Barça is 'més que un club' (more than a club). They made many people happy who will never forget the magical evening they experienced," said Jordi Cardoner, a vice-president of FC Barcelona, on 03/12/2015.
