Club World Cup: opening match between Hiroshima-Auckland scheduled in Yokohama (Japan) on 10/12/2015

The opening match of the 12th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup between Sanfrecce Hiroshima (JPN), champions of Japan in 2015, and Auckland City FC (NZL), winner of the 2015 OFC Champions League is scheduled at Yokohama International Stadium (72,000 seats, Japan) on 10/12/2015 at 23:45 CET (19:45 local time). The competition is being held in Japan from 10 to 20/12/2015.

The winner of the opening match will face TP Mazembe (DRC), the winner of the 2015 CAF Champions League, in one of the two "quarter-finals" which will be played on 13/12/2015. In total, the 2015 Club World Cup will have eight games: four (including the final) played in Yokohama and four in Osaka. FC Barcelona (ESP), who won the 2015 UEFA Champions League and CA River Plate (ARG), winner of the 2015 Copa Libertadores, will enter the competition in the semi-finals on 16 and 17/12/2015.

The 2015 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup is the seventh organised in Japan, following those in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2012. Morocco hosted the last two editions in 2013 and 2014.
