MLS: $925,000 more funds per franchise in 2016 and 2017, outside salary cap, to build squads

MLS will allow its 20 franchises to invest a total of $37m (€33.7m as of 10/12/2015), or $925,000 (€843,000) per franchise per season for player remunerations for the 2016 and 2017 seasons, the league announced on 09/12/2015.

The additional $925,000 will be on top of the salary cap, set at $3.6m (€3.3m) per franchise in 2016. Franchises may use...
