"The 90 day provisional suspension imposed on Michel Platini remains in force but FIFA is ordered not to extend it," is the title of the press release announcing the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport on the appeal of Michel Platini, on 11/12/2015.

The Lausanne-based court decided that lifting the suspension was not necessary, as the adjudicatory chamber of the FIFA Ethics Committee must rule on the case before the end of this current suspension (01/05/2016). This ruling is expected on or about 21/12/2015.

Since his suspension has been maintained, Michel Platini, UEFA president, will not attend the draw for the finals of Euro 2016, held at the Palais des Congrès, in Paris, on Saturday 12/12/2015 (18:00).

Michel Platini, UEFA president since 2007, was suspended for 90 days on 08/10/2015, by the FIFA Ethics Committee. "This suspension may be extended for a period not exceeding 45 days," stated FIFA at the time of the announcement of the suspension.
