FIFPro: "50^th anniversary is the beginning of an adventure, not the end of a story" (Philippe Piat)

"The year 2015 is and will remain exceptional, if, like me, you consider this 50^th anniversary as the beginning of a new adventure and not as the end of a story, as beautiful as the one we have written together for half a century now," said Philippe Piat, president of FIFPro, in Amsterdam (Netherlands), at the opening of the general assembly of the international union, on 10/12/2015.

Founded in Paris (France) on 15/12/1965 by representatives from unions of footballers from five countries (England, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Scotland), FIFPro, now chaired by by the Frenchman Philippe Piat, is celebrating its 50^th anniversary on 15/12/2015. The celebrations of this half-century include a "lavish party on 15/12/2015," said FIFPro. Scheduled alongside this event were the annual congress of the international union of professional footballers (11 and 12/12/2015), and the FIFPro legal conference (14 and 15/12/2015).
