LaLiga: new round of bidding for 4 lots for free-TV operators (Liga BBVA, Adelante, Copa del Rey)

The Control Authority managing the audiovisual rights of LaLiga has launched a new round of bidding for Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the 2016-2019 domestic audiovisual rights to Spanish professional competitions, on 17/12/2015. The deadline for the submission of bids is Tuesday 22/12/2015 at 16:00 CET.

These four lots concern the live and free broadcasting of games in the Liga BBVA, Liga Adelante, and the Copa del Rey, as well as match summaries of these three competitions. The lots were not awarded on 02/12/2015 by LaLiga due to lack of bids meeting the established floor price, following the original tender launched on 13/11/2015.

A second round of bidding, specific to these four lots, was launched on 03/12/2015, but, again, no offers submitted on 15/12/2015 reached the set floor price, said the Spanish Professional Football League.

As stated in the tender, if the floor price is not reached during the third round of bidding, LaLiga can arrange a new round of bidding for the four lots or only for Lots 3 and 4, and then decide to award them according to the best offer.
