The number of complaints from players, the number of clubs investigated and the amount of wage debt to professional players have decreased significantly since 2013-14, indicated LaLiga on 16/12/2015. "Professional clubs continue to meet their financial responsibilities," said the Spanish Professional Football League.

Six complaints were recorded by LaLiga players in 2015, compared to 60 in 2014 (-90%) and 34 (-82.4%) in 2013. 13 clubs in the Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante were subject to these claims in 2014 and 2015, compared to only 4 in 2015. And the amount of wages owed, which exceeded €7m in 2014 and €1.5m in 2013, amounted to only €500,000 in 2015.

"LaLiga congratulates the clubs for their commitment and high degree of compliance with the measures of economic control. A reduction in the debt of the clubs in general has now lead to a drastic decrease in debts to the players. This historical situation of economic solvency promotes the sustainability and quality of Spanish professional football, whose value is recognised internationally," said the Spanish League.
