2015 Club World Cup: €4.6m for winners FC Barcelona, €3.7m for runners-up CA River Plate

FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA), winners of the 2015 FIFA Club World Cup (3-0 over the Argentine first division club CA River Plate on 20/12/2015) will receive $5m (€4.6m) in prize money. Runners-up River Plate receive €3.7m.

Third place Sanfrecce Hiroshima (J.League), 2-1 winners over Guangzhou Evergrande FC (CSL) on 20/12/2015, will receive $2.5m (€2.3m), while the fourht place Chinese club receives $2m (€1.85m).

CF América (Liga MX), fifth place in the tournament, will receive $1.5m (€1.4m), while TP Mazembe Englebert (Congo), sixth place, receive $1m (€0.9m). New Zealand club Auckland City FC, beaten 2-0 by Hiroshima in the opening play-off to the quarter-finals, finished in seventh and last place in the 2015 Club World Cup. The club will receive $0.5, (€0.46m).

In total, FIFA will distribute $16.5m (€15.2m) in prize money to the seven participants of the 12th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, the same amount as the 2013 and 2014 editions played in Morocco.
