The average attendance of the championship at the halfway point of the season is 20,344 spectators per match, down 1,993 people per match compared to the 2014-15 season (-10%). The Ligue 1 fill rate is currently 68% in 2015-16.

The match between FC Girondins de Bordeaux - Olympique de Marseille (1-1) drew the largest crowd of the weekend, with 39,672 spectators at the Matmut Stadium. Only three games of Matchday 19 were played in front of over 20,000 people.

The match between GFC Ajaccio - Olympique Lyonnais (2-1) drew the lowest attendance of the matchday with 4,125 spectators at the Stade Ange Casanova. This match was nevertheless drew best attendance for the Corsican club in 2015-16.
