Premier League: Americans Josh Harris and David Blitzer invest in Crystal Palace

"Crystal Palace FC (Barclays Premier League) are delighted to announce that we have today signed a deal with investors Josh Harris and David Blitzer. The deal will see chairman Steve Parish, Josh Harris and David Blitzer take control of the club in a general partnership structure," announced the London-based club on 18/12/2015.

Josh Harris is co-owner of the private equity firm Apollo Global Management and David Blitzer is an executive officer of the investment bank Blackstone. The two Americans co-own the sports franchises the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA) and the New Jersey Devils (NHL). Their entry into the shareholding of Crystal Palace had been covered by the British media since October 2014.

Other investors will join the new ownership structure

• Steve Parish, Josh Harris and David Blitzer will each hold an 18% stake in the new structure, according to British media outlets.
• Other investors will join the new structure, the club indicated.
• CPFC2010, the company that currently owns Crystal Palace, has four shareholders, each holding a 25% stake:
