NBA: North American basketball league reaches landmark of one billion loops on social network Vine

The NBA has exceeded one billion loops on Vine, relating to the number of times a video is viewed on the Twitter application which allows users to post six-second videos that are played on a loop, announced the league on 14/12/2015. Two and half years after the creation of its account, the NBA now counts more than 1.45 million followers.

The NBA has shared 2,094 video posts (as of 15/12/2015) on Vine (including highlights of matches, behind the scenes footage, etc). To celebrate passing the landmark, the league published its Top 10 most popular Vines and short compilations of the biggest names to play the sport such as Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

The North American League has also 27.6 million Facebook fans, 18.3 million Twitter followers and 11.2 million subscribers on Instagram.
